Improved formulation to enhance cleaning capability and reduce re-soiling effects.  DIGESTER is an effective cleaning and odor control formulation for carpet and fabric. DIGESTER can be used on carpets, upholstery, draperies, car seats, etc. to remove organic stains and odors. The cleaning surfactants in DIGESTER clean effectively without causing re-soiling in high traffic areas.  DIGESTER combines effective cleaning surfactants and synergistic microorganisms to achieve complete organic removal in a single cleaning application. Common stains, spills and pet accidents leave organic deposits and odors in carpets and on fabrics that can reappear after normal cleaning. The microorganisms in DIGESTER are activated by the organics. Once activated the microorganisms degrade the organics, resulting in stain removal and odor control. DIGESTER consists of a synergistic blend of microorganisms selected for their ability to degrade organic substrates, such as milk, food spills and urine. In the presence of moisture, the microorganisms use the organic material as a food source for growth and in the process degrade and remove the organics from the carpet and fabric. DIGESTER brings "natural cleaning" indoors for a fresher, cleaner environment.  DIGESTER microorganisms have been tested by standard cleaning assays using carpet swatches soiled with organic compounds commonly found in carpet spills. Under laboratory conditions, the carpet swatch inoculated with DIGESTER microbes demonstrated a 40-fold increase in degradation of organic material compared to untreated carpet.

Cleaning with microbes is a self-regulating process as most of the microbes disappear once the organics are destroyed. The following electron microscopy photographs demonstrate how microorganisms inoculate then degrade residual organic spills in carpet fibers.

  1. Test for colorfastness on section which does not show.

  2. Remove excess solids or liquids.  Spray, mop or wipe a generous supply of DIGESTER on to the surface to be cleaned. 

  3. Next, use DIGESTER as though it were a mild detergent to assist in the removal of the contaminants in the fabric or carpet surface. 

  4. Scrub any stains with DIGESTER.   

  5. Rinse the area with fresh, warm water utilizing a sponge or soft towel in efforts to  remove any residual organics.

  6. In extreme cases, areas subjected to repeated soiling may require additional wetting of the surface to extend the microbial cleaning time. Place a clean wet towel over the stain for 24 hours.

  7. For use in an extraction cleaning machine, add 3 ounces per gallon of water. DIGESTER provides instant odor control and contact surface cleaning, combined with microbial  digestion of trapped residual organics
